These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern the use of the software application ShareReady (“the App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. How the App handles data is described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Scope of application
These Terms apply to all users of the App. The App is designed for iPhone and is distributed exclusively via the Apple App Store. Apple’s App Store terms apply in addition to these Terms; in the event of conflict regarding purchase and billing processes, Apple’s terms prevail for those processes.
3. Description of the App
ShareReady is a device-based tool that prepares photos before they are shared. It allows users to:
- crop and format photos for specific share destinations (for example social platforms, messengers, or custom presets)
- apply text or image watermarks (“signing”)
- anonymize image regions such as faces and license plates, with on-device detection that flags areas for review
- convert file formats and remove photo metadata from exported copies
- process a single photo or a batch, directly from the iOS share sheet or from within the App
The App works on copies: originals in Apple Photos remain untouched, and processing runs on the user’s device. Selected settings, presets, and watermark configurations may synchronize across the user’s devices via Apple iCloud. Hawkwise Labs does not operate its own cloud for the App.
4. License grant
Subject to these Terms and any applicable purchase, Hawkwise Labs grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices associated with your Apple ID, in accordance with Apple’s App Store terms. No rights are granted beyond those expressly stated. You may not reverse-engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, decompile, modify, or create derivative works of the App, any updates, or any part thereof, except to the extent that such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.
5. Ownership
All intellectual property rights in the App, including software, algorithms, design, and documentation, remain the exclusive property of Hawkwise Labs or its licensors.
All photos, watermarks, logos, text, and related content you process with the App remain your exclusive property. The App does not claim ownership of user content. You are responsible for holding the necessary rights to the content you process - including any logos or text you use as watermarks.
6. User responsibility: review before you share
The App provides tools that modify copies of your photos based on your choices, and shares them to destinations you select. You acknowledge and agree that:
- you are responsible for reviewing every preview - in particular anonymization results - before confirming an export or share
- you decide what is hidden: detected faces and license plates are flagged for your review, and the final selection of areas to anonymize is yours
- you are solely responsible for the content you share, for having the necessary rights to it, and for complying with the laws that apply to publishing images - including the personality, portrait, and privacy rights of people depicted
- you are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of your photo library
The App includes previews, review steps, and explicit confirmations, but no software can fully eliminate the risk of unintended outcomes.
7. Working copies, originals, and exports
The App creates working copies of the photos you hand to it and leaves the originals in Apple Photos untouched. You acknowledge and agree that:
- working copies inside the App are temporary by default and are cleared automatically; a set can be kept longer when you choose to keep it
- exported versions are not automatically saved back to Apple Photos - they exist at the destinations you shared them to; if you want to keep an export, save it to a location of your choice
- the App is not a storage, backup, or archival tool, and you should not rely on working copies as the only copy of any edit
8. Anonymization and detection accuracy
ShareReady is designed and implemented with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and predictable behavior. Face and license-plate detection runs on-device and aims to flag all relevant areas, and detection results are presented for your review before anything is exported. Despite these measures, automated detection involves complex technical and contextual factors, and certain scenarios cannot be resolved with absolute certainty, including but not limited to:
- faces or license plates that are partially covered, at unusual angles, blurred, in poor light, or very small in the frame
- reflections, artwork, screens, or other depictions that may or may not warrant anonymization
- identifying details other than faces and plates (for example tattoos, name tags, house numbers, or documents) that the App does not attempt to detect automatically
For this reason, all detection results are proposals for your review, and the final decision about what is hidden - and whether an image is safe to share - always remains with you. You can add, adjust, or remove anonymized areas manually before exporting.
9. iCloud sync of presets and watermarks
Selected settings, presets, and watermark configurations may synchronize across your devices via Apple iCloud. Synchronization depends on Apple’s services and your device settings. You acknowledge and agree that changes made on one device may not immediately appear on another until Apple’s synchronization completes, and that Hawkwise Labs does not control iCloud synchronization and cannot guarantee its timing or availability.
10. No guarantee of error-free or perfect results
While ShareReady is developed with care, extensive testing, and the goal of delivering reliable results, the App cannot guarantee perfect outcomes in all situations. In particular:
- detection may miss areas or flag areas that need no anonymization (see section 8)
- conversion, scaling, and rendering results may vary depending on image formats, source quality, and system behavior
- metadata removal applies to the exported copies the App creates; content you share through other means is unaffected
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Final responsibility for reviewing and confirming actions lies with the user.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hawkwise Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, or damages arising from the sharing or publication of images, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the App, however caused, regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, or otherwise).
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total cumulative liability of Hawkwise Labs arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the total amount you have actually paid to Hawkwise Labs for the App in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty euros (€50.00), whichever is greater.
These limitations apply even if Hawkwise Labs has been advised of the possibility of such damages. They do not apply to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for intent or gross negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some or all of the above limitations may not apply to you.
12. Not intended for legally mandated anonymization or forensic use
The App is designed as a consumer productivity tool that helps you prepare photos for everyday sharing. It is not intended for, and must not be relied upon as the sole measure for, legally mandated anonymization or redaction (for example under data-protection, court, or regulatory requirements), forensic analysis, legal evidence preparation, or other mission-critical use cases. Where anonymization is legally required, you are responsible for verifying that the result meets the applicable standard before publication.
13. Purchases, subscriptions, and Apple In-App Purchase
Some features of the App (“ShareReady Pro”) require a paid upgrade, offered exclusively via Apple In-App Purchase. The following applies:
- payments and billing are handled by Apple; Hawkwise Labs does not process payment card data
- subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage and cancel subscriptions at any time in your App Store account settings
- prices, trial offers, and available products are shown in the App before purchase and may change for future purchase periods
- purchases can be restored on a new or reset device via the restore function on the paywall
- refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s App Store policies
We use RevenueCat as our purchase-infrastructure provider to validate purchases and manage entitlements, as described in our Privacy Policy. Apple is not a party to these Terms with respect to the App’s functionality.
14. Internet connectivity
The App does not upload user content to Hawkwise Labs and Hawkwise Labs operates no backend servers for the App. Limited internet communication occurs solely for:
- purchase validation and entitlement management via Apple and RevenueCat
- pseudonymized usage analytics via TelemetryDeck
- synchronization of your settings through your own iCloud
- external links you actively open (for example the feedback board, section 15)

15. Third-party services and links
The App may contain links that open third-party services in your browser, such as our public feedback board (operated by UserJot) or Apple’s App Store pages. These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Hawkwise Labs has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content or practices of third-party services.
16. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Hawkwise Labs may terminate or restrict access if required by law or App Store policies. Upon termination, your license ends. The App’s local data is removed with the App; iCloud-synced settings remain in your iCloud until you remove them, and purchase records are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Statutory rights regarding paid periods remain unaffected.
17. Changes to the App and the Terms
Hawkwise Labs may update the App and these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features, legal requirements, or platform requirements. The current version of these Terms is published on this page with its “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
18. Export compliance
You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export control laws and regulations when using the App, including sanctions and trade restrictions administered by the European Union, the United States, and any other relevant jurisdiction. You may not use, export, or re-export the App in violation of such laws or regulations, including but not limited to exporting the App into any country or to any person subject to applicable trade sanctions or embargoes.
19. U.S. Government end users
The App and related documentation are “Commercial Items” as defined in 48 C.F.R. §2.101, consisting of “Commercial Computer Software” and “Commercial Computer Software Documentation.” If acquired by or on behalf of a U.S. Government agency, the App is licensed with only those rights granted to all other end users under these Terms, in accordance with 48 C.F.R. §12.212 or 48 C.F.R. §227.7202, as applicable.
20. Governing law and jurisdiction
Unless mandatory statutory provisions provide otherwise: these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, and the place of jurisdiction is Tallinn, Estonia. Mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence remain unaffected.
